To Be Honored at Annual Meeting on October 18th
(Poughkeepsie, N.Y. October 1, 2012) The Orange County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Renée Bulla, VP Client Services for Momentum Advertising & Design, will be presented with the 2012 “Volunteer of the Year Award” at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Awards Reception on Thursday, October 18, at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor.
Renée, who is joining the Orange Chamber’s Board of Directors in October, will be the first person to simultaneously serve as a board member for both the Orange County and Dutchess County Chambers of Commerce. Renée also is in her second year of co-chairing the Orange Chamber’s Public Relations/Marketing Committee and has been a member of the Gala Committee for the past three years. Renée is completing her second three-year term on the Dutchess County Board where she was the past Chair of the Gala Committee and also serves on the Business Education Committee.
“The amount of personal time that Renée commits to volunteerism is extraordinary,” said Steve Mayhew, President of Momentum Advertising & Design. “I am extremely pleased that the Orange County Chamber is recognizing her efforts at this year’s meeting.”
Renée is also extremely active outside the Chambers of Commerce. Renée currently serves as 1st Vice Chair of the Executive Committee at Abilities First, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities. Renée is a member of their Marketing and PR Committee and has served as Chair of their Gala Committee for the past four years. Additionally, Renée serves on the committee of their Leaf-A-Legacy fundraising, art tour project. Renée has also served on the St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Gala Committee for the past three years.
“I am happy to receive this distinct honor. It is easy for me to devote my time to organizations that are meaningful to me and to the community where I work and live,” said Renée. “Of course, I couldn’t volunteer my time as much as I do without the support of my co-workers and family, especially my husband, who often holds down the fort at home.”
